Themed Playground Equipment for Cafes

The Challenge

We were asked by Sherburn-in-Elmet Aero Club for a bespoke aeroplane playground design to be placed outside the café. They wanted children from the members of the club to be able to play whilst their parent was up in the air or having a coffee. Our designers love getting creative with bespoke designs and the new playground is really special.

We designed pieces of equipment which were in keep with the theme of an aeroplane and a watch tower.  The aeroplane playground climbing system has plenty of climbing opportunities and offers challenges to children of all ages. After climbing up the structure, little flyers can try their hand at wing walking on the plane too. The play tunnel on the front also offers a place to hide and chat with friends.

The control watch tower is also ideal for those children looking out for mummy or daddy flying into the aerodrome. Children can use the stairs to race to the top of the tower and help wave planes back into land. Rather than climbing down again, kids can slide down from the top and enjoy rushing back to earth, just like the pilots in the planes.
