Glade Hill approached us to help them develop their playground and supply a range early years outdoor play equipment. They had various ideas in mind but needed the help of our design team to turn ideas into workable items of play equipment.
They wanted to include lots of sensory aspects and water play equipment in their playground. The school also liked the idea of bringing bright colours into the space to make it stand out and look great. We couldn’t wait to get started.
We worked closely with the school and a contracted architect to develop a design concept. One of the main focuses of the school play area was a sensory room. Using highly skilled steel manufacturers, we were able to provide the school with a workable inside space.
The play area itself was to be transformed from a lifeless tarmac playground into a bright and colourful learning environment. With the use of bright wet pour rubber safety surfacing it instantly lifted the atmosphere of the play space.
A sensory garden was added to one end of the play area to introduce children to the natural world. To further engage children’s senses as they play, we included sand and water play equipment and musical instruments for the children to use together during play times.
We know that the staff and students at Glade Hill Primary School love their new playground space. It was a great project to work on and we hope they’ll enjoy it for many years to come.
