Small playground, huge fun

This playground is full of multiuse areas for learning. We installed a stage where children can create plays and use for their games. This area not only adds to the fun of the playground, but also allows the children to develop their imaginations and planning skills.

For the real wow piece in this playground, we designed a Hobbit house climber to capitalise on the space. Children can play in the house or climb up and use the seats. This private story telling area is a space where children can develop their speech and language skills. It also provides the school with an outdoor area for one-to-one time too, so that each child can feel supported with their learning.

We also installed equipment that would engage their senses. We offered youngsters the chance to use sand and water equipment and a specially designed mud kitchen during their playtime. They can get stuck into playing with toys and challenges provided by the natural world.

The playground needed to combine lots of practical solutions as well as fun equipment for the children. The school wanted to have neat and convenient storage in the playground so valuable play time wasn’t wasted putting equipment away at the end of each session. We designed natural looking, storage options that are secure but still easily accessible.

As well as all the fun pieces of equipment, the school needed a designated area for lining up ready for home time. Image Playgrounds were more than up to the challenge of packing lots of fun equipment and making the most of the available space. Students at Ark Byron Primary are already loving spending time in their new playground.
