Kielder Water and Forest Park Design

The Challenge

Kielder Water and Forest Park Development Trust is a registered charity. They’re working to develop the Park as an inspirational place for leisure, exploration and, of course, fun! That’s why their attention was drawn to developing their park playground equipment.

It was our pleasure to help Hilary Dagg and the team design large playground equipment to wow their visitors. Together, we enhanced the provision of children-oriented amenities at Leaplish Waterside Park. Leaplish is the main lakeside visitor’s centre and needed a wow factor to keep visitors coming back. That’s why our bespoke playground design skills were required.

Image Playgrounds were a key member in the Kielder Partnership to create their new outdoor space. Their Arts and Architecture commissioning programme is very productive. They had already created many award-winning Arts and Architectural Projects in the forest and around the lake. We were also very keen to develop bespoke, imaginative ground breaking solutions custom made for them.

This was one of our largest scale projects to date. With attentive planning and professional project management, it all went smoothly. Our installation team have a great eye for detail and ensure the play provisions are safely and securely fitted. The bright, bespoke play towers look fantastic and really attract guests in. We also made fantastic use of an enclosed play area with exciting park playground equipment as well as climbing equipment. Will you be visiting to check out the new play park design soon?
