Bug Gardens

When children are able to explore and investigate their natural environment and evaluate what they have learnt, this has been seen as having a positive impact on the development of children.  The sensory world around us can stimulate curiosity and provide a basis for investigation which allows children to think freely with an inquisitive mind.

Great Designs …. Fab’ Playgrounds

Designs for playgrounds give schools a visual representation that illustrate what could be part of their school grounds.  Our designs are a 3D Cad visual presentation and in this case, were the deciding factor for Thatcham Primary School to make their play area a reality.

Children being shown how to do playground designs

What a fabulous day. St. Ignatius Catholic School came to Image Playgrounds from Preston for an educational visit. They came to see how Playground Equipment is designed and built.

We had 29 children here in all and they were shown how playgrounds are designed from thoughts & ideas placed on paper or input straight onto an autocad design on the computer. They were also shown how some of the play equipment is built.

Lots of budding artists with fabulous ideas, when they designed their own incredible playgrounds. The day was complete when they all gathered momentum for a fun play on our Playground in Easingwold before their return trip back to Preston.

History in Playgrounds

We are at the present time building the ‘National Heritage Adventure Playground’ at the Chiltern Open Air Museum. It is an exciting fully bespoke playground with an Shepherd’s Hut, Toll House and Anderson Air Raid Shelter. The Shepherd’s hut was originally used on the hills by the Shepherds whilst the Sheep were lambing. History in playgrounds.

Yorkshire Museum of Farming

Lots of awesome & exciting play equipment tradionally made by Image Playgrounds for the Yorkshire Farming Museum at Murton, York. Children can role play making tea in the tudor house whereas climbing may attract them onto the tower system. Lots of fascinating things to play on to make it a day to remember.

Scatterlogs systems

Sparking a child’s imagination for creative physical fun is easy with Image Playgrounds Equipment.   The relationship between the environment and learning is fourfold.  A child’s early experiences have a huge impact on the architecture of the brain, therefore, by creating equipment that is fun and exciting for children to play on, they will learn to embrace the idea that learning can be fun!
